IPS officer Deven Bharti has been appointed as Special Commissioner of Police of Mumbai. The Maharashtra Home Department on Wednesday appointed Bharti as a special commissioner of Mumbai Police. Deven Bharti is a 1994 batch IPS officer. It must be noted that Special Commissioner of Police of Mumbai post has been created for the first time by the state government.
