Cyrus Mistry death: Maharashtra deputy CM orders detailed investigation into accident | India News
MUMBAI: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted that he had spoken to the Director General of Police and ordered a detailed investigation into the accident which resulted in the death of former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry.
“Shocked and deeply pained to know about the demise in an unfortunate accident near Palghar. Spoke to DGP and instructed for detailed investigations,” Fadnavis tweeted.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde tweeted, “Shocking news of the untimely demise of Shri Cyrus Mistry. A passionate businessman deeply invested in the idea of New India. Condolences to his family and friends.”
NCP Chief Sharad Pawar that he was deeply saddened. “He was a dynamic and brilliant entrepreneur. We lost one of the brightest stars of the corporate world. It is an irreparable loss to Indian industry. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” he tweeted.
His daughter, NCP MP Supriya Sule tweeted, “Devastating news. My brother Cyrus Mistry passed away. Can’t believe it. Rest in Peace, Cyrus.”
Union Minister of Road Transport Nitin Gadkari tweeted, “Deeply saddened to know about the unfortunate demise of ex-Chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry in a road accident near Palghar, Maharashtra. Sincerest condolences to the family members.”
Union Commerce minister Piyush Goyal who is a Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra tweeted, “Deeply anguished and shocked by the sudden passing away of Cyrus Mistry. Indian industry has lost one of its shining stars whose contributions to India’s economic progress will always be remembered.”
