With this, the case tally has been pushed to 4,30,57,545 and the virus death toll in the country climbed to 5,22,193.
India’s active caseload has once again seen a rise and currently stands at 15,873, with an increase of 794 such cases, the bulletin showed.
The recovery rate in India has been recorded at 98.75%, as per government data.
Also, with 1,755 recoveries registered in the last 24 hours, the total number of people, who have recovered from the disease so far, reached 4,25,19,479.
The daily positivity rate, at present, stands at 0.59%, while the weekly positivity rate has been recorded at 0.54%.
The government says that a total 83.47 crore tests for Covid detection have been conducted so far, with 4,36,532 having been held in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total number of Covid vaccine doses administered in India under the nationwide vaccination drive touched 187.67 crore, Sunday’s bulletin stated.
