Coronavirus Victoria update: Dozens more exposure sites listed, some as far away as Mildura

Dozens more venues have been added to Victoria’s COVID-19 exposure site list, including a Dan Murphy’s store, gyms and cafes in Melbourne, and more than half a dozen spots in Mildura.

AAMI Park and the MCG continue to be points of concern but a Sunday night update from the Department of Health also added multiple service stations and supermarkets and updated the timing of a multi-day potential exposure at a Cremorne Italian restaurant.

In addition to the new tier one locations, which spark a mandatory two-week quarantine regardless of test results, the department said more than 150 tier two and three locations were published on its website.

More than 50 sites, of all tiers, were added on Sunday alone.

  • Tier one: Anyone seated in zone two, level one (entering through gate seven) in Sections 22, 23 and 24 (aisles 20-23, rows A to U, seats 378-457)
  • Tier one: Anyone who entered gate seven between 7:56pm and 8:13pm
  • Tier two: All other people who entered gate seven on July 13. That applies to those seated in sections 25-42 of zone two and who didn’t enter gate seven from 7:56pm-8:13pm.
  • Tier three: All other people at the game who didn’t enter gate seven.

Tier two exposure contacts must immediately isolate, get tested, and stay isolated until they receive a negative result. Tier three contacts should monitor for symptoms and get tested if any develop.

Tram routes 48, 76 and 109 have also been declared tier one sites on July 15.
