JAIPUR: Congress in-charge for Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Monday exhorted the Congress workers to end factional fights and talk about finishing off Modi to save the country.
“If Modi is finished then India will be saved and if Modi stays then the country will be ruined,” he said while addressing a party protest at Civil Lines against crony capitalism on Monday.
“Our fight is not with Adani, but with the BJP. Kill the BJP. Adani-Ambani will die with it,” Randhawa said.
He added when British came to India, they brought the East India Company to do business. “Modiji brought a man like Adani. East India Company looted the country for 200 years and occupied the whole country. Now Adani will destroy the country. The country is moving towards slavery again. Not Modi but Adani is deciding what will happen in the country,” he alleged.
He also questioned the patriotism of Sangh Parivar. “Modi talks about patriotism. They don’t even know what patriotism is,” said the Congress leader, asking how many of them fought for freedom and went to jail.
He went on lambast: “The country was given to a dishonest man like Modi. All those who went to jail during the freedom struggle are from Congress families. Five generations of Congress families have gone to jail for the country. There is blood of every Congressman in Andaman’s Cellular Jail. Modi says what Congress has done. Congress has liberated the country, it has given the country to a dishonest person like you.”
Randhawa also advised the Congress workers to unite. “We have to work for Congress, not for any individual. If the worker is alive then the Congress is alive. We are an institution, the Congress does not run in the name of anyone, but on the contrary, everyone survives in the name of Congress,” he said.
Also, taking a jibe at some Congress leaders, Randhawa said, “I have to say with regret that whoever comes to me asks for what position he will get. He doesn’t say how to take the Congress forward.” He advised them to “first make the Congress strong”. “I need workers. No quota system will work. The one who is a worker of Congress, who works will get a ticket, but not on loyalty to any individual.”
