Coimbatore Shocker: Security Guard Kills Colleague For Not Cooking Omelette For Him in Tamil Nadu, Arrested

Chennai, October 11: In a shocking incident in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, the Chettipalayam police have arrested a private security guard for allegedly killing his colleague in a fight over an omelette. The deceased, A Sherif (50) from Thrissur in Kerala, was staying with four other security guards from the same area in a rental house in Nehru Nagar, Orattukuppai.

According to a report in TOI, the five men—Sherif, P Vinoth (59), Santhosh (45), Sivaraman (48), and Joseph Kurian (47) from Vaikom—were employed by a consumer goods company in Orattukuppai. They had agreed to take turns cooking meals, and on Tuesday, Sherif prepared breakfast but only made an omelette for himself. Later that evening, when Sherif and Joseph were in their room, Joseph, under the influence of alcohol, questioned Sherif for not making omelettes for the others. The argument quickly escalated, leading to Joseph stabbing Sherif. Madhya Pradesh Shocker: Enraged Over Lover’s Daughter Crying, Man Throws Toddler on Ground Before Smothering Her to Death in Shivpuri.

Following Sherif’s death, his body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination. On Thursday, Chettipalayam police arrested Joseph Kurian for murder and remanded him to prison.

The incident comes after a woman was allegedly strangled by her mother-in-law after she refused to make tea for her in Attapur. The accused woman used a chunni to strangulate the victim, police said.

Police said the victim, Ajmeera Begum (28), was told by her mother-in-law Farzana Begum to make tea. However, Ajmeera told Farzana that she was busy with other work and declined to make tea.

When Farzana did not get tea even after waiting for some time, an argument broke out between the two and, subsequently, she pushed Ajmeera down and strangulated her, cops said.
