Police in Cincinnati have added a new item to the list of annoying things about Brood X cicadas: potential traffic hazard. According to the Cincinnati Police Department, a car hit a pole on Riverside Drive on June 7 after a cicada “flew in through an open window striking the driver in the face.” The driver had minor injuries, local news said, but the car was badly damaged, as police video shows.
