Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A farmer from Kharduti village was brutally beaten up on December 19 for refusing to close a way through his field. After the incident, the victim’s family approached the Superintendent of Police (SP) on Thursday for action against the culprits. The farmer Mohan Ahirwar was attacked with a crowbar by Pajna Ahirwar.
When his family members, including Kallu, Mantola, and Kanchedi Ahirwar, tried to intervene, they were also beaten up by seven individuals armed with iron rods and sticks. The injured were taken to Bhagwa police station, where a complaint was registered under minor sections.
Due to Mohan’s critical injuries, he was referred to the district hospital. Despite the severity of the attack, the accused remain at large and are allegedly threatening the victim’s family to withdraw the complaint. On December 20, the victim’s family approached the Superintendent of Police (SP) for action but claim no steps have been taken.
The family filed another complaint on Thursday, urging the authorities to arrest the accused. They also alleged that the attackers visited the hospital with threats to kill Mohan if he did not agree to a compromise. The family is demanding justice and immediate action, citing ongoing threats and fear for their safety.
