Chad Michael Murray is officially the latest actor to play notorious serial killer Ted Bundy.
According to a report in┬аScreen Daily, the тАЬOne Tree HillтАЭ alum is portraying Bundy in in the upcoming thriller тАЬAmerican BoogeymanтАЭ, directed by Daniel Farrands (тАЬThe Haunting Of Sharon TateтАЭ, тАЬHalloween: The Curse Of Michael MyersтАЭ), which was recently picked up by Voltage Pictures.
тАЬSet in a gritty and decadent 1970s America, тАШAmerican BoogeymanтАЩ follows the elusive and charming killer and the manhunt that brought him to justice involving the detective and the FBI rookie who coined the phrase тАШserial killer,’тАЭ notes the filmтАЩs synopsis.

Murray follows in the footsteps as such actors as тАЬNCISтАЭ star Mark Harmon (who played Bundy in a 1986 TV miniseries), Zac Efron (NetflixтАЩs 2019 тАЬExtremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and VileтАЭ) and Billy Campbell (the 2000 TV movie тАЬThe Stranger Beside MeтАЭ).
