KOLKATA: The CBI on Friday filed a supplementary charge sheet in the alleged irregularities in the primary teacher recruitment. The agency, in the charge sheet, named two office bearers—Kaushik Maji and Partha Sen of the chartered accountancy firm—S Basu Roy & Company.
The CBI, claimed that the firm was given the job of designing the OMR sheets and destroying them after the examination was over without any tender. The chartered accountancy firm—S Basu Roy & Company, the agency claimed worked as a frontal organization for a “consortium working from behind”.
CBI mentioned that the firm had also handled examination processing, software development and marketing. OMR sheets were designed by one of the partners of the S Basu Ray & Company. It was designed in such a manner that no identification of the candidate can be made.
The OMR sheets were scanned and converted into text files which can be easily manipulated. It was done deliberately so that the identity of the candidates cannot be deciphered easily. They were also given the job to dispose of the confidential documents of the TET 2014.
