The scenes that Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha are filming are from the highly anticipated Masquerade ball, where Benedict sees Sophie for the first time and immediately feels a connection he has been missing all this while. The story of Bridgerton Season 4 has a Cinderella-esq theme with an outcast, Sophie, getting a chance to taste the normal life of the town for just one night before being pushed out of London and their journey of chancing upon one another a few years later.

Earlier this month, showmakers announced that season 4 of Bridgerton will feature Yerin Ha in the role of Sophie Beckett – Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest. In a recent interview, Yerin spoke about them changing the name of the lead character to Sophie Baek – in line with Yerin’s Korean heritage. Season three of Bridgerton had Benedict finally explore his sexuality and come out as bisexual. Fans have been eager to see how his love story fans out ever since. The fourth season will see the return of Simone Ashley as Kate Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Victor Alli (John Stirling), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown), Masali Baduza (Michaela Stirling), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Stirling), Daniel Francis (Lord Marcus Anderson), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton) and more. Additionally, it has been announced that Katei Lunch will be playing Yerin Ha’s stepmother – Lady Araminta Gun. Michelle Mao will be portraying Lady Araminta’s elder daughter, Rosamund Li, in Bridgerton Season 4, while Isabella Wei has been cast as Lady Araminta’s younger daughter, Posy Li.
