Chennai, October 13: A bomb threat letter was found aboard an Indigo flight bound for Chennai on Sunday, causing alarm among the 169 passengers, which included a government minister and a high court judge. The letter prompted an immediate response from CISF personnel, who conducted thorough checks on the flight and passengers.
After ensuring the situation was under control, the flight was cleared and took off for Chennai around 6 pm, reported TOI. The airline authorities lodged a formal complaint with Peelamedu police, and no casualties were reported. The Boeing 737 aircraft encountered the problem shortly after takeoff from Trichy at 5:40 p.m. on Friday.
