Mumbai, September 25: BMW has teased a short video about its new BMW iX1 Electric ahead of its launch on September 28. In the teaser video, the German luxury cars and motorcycle manufacturer has shown the first design of the upcoming vehicle. The new car is said to be based on the 3rd-generation ICE X1. Reports say that the electric car will be launched as an SUV that introduces all the identical features of the category.
According to the reports, the new electric car from BMW is expected to introduce new safety features, adaptive cruise control and many other features. The vehicle will likely launch with refreshed taillamps and larger headlamps, as seen in the teaser video. BMW iX1 Electric Expected Features:
The recently teased iX1 Electric from BMW is expected to come with a dual-motor setup that churns up 313 bhp and 494 Nm torque. According to the reports, the new BMW electric SUV may launch with a 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack expected to provide up to 438 km range in full charge. The BMW iX1 is expected to have standard charging support of 11 kWh and is likely to have a 130 kWh full charging option. The reports further inform that the new iX1 Electric is expected to fast charge within 30 minutes, reaching from 10% to 80% if launched with a 130 kWh charger.
Additional safety features likely to be introduced in the car are 7-airbags, ABS having ESC, EBD, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning option, and other features like an emergency braking system. The iX1 of BMW may get a 10.7-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging support, AC vents, Android Auto-support, panoramic roof, mobile charger, 3-zone climate control and Apple CarPlay connection.
BMW iX1 Electric Expected Price:
According to the reports, the new electric car, BMW iX1, will likely be priced around Rs 60 to 65 lakh (ex-showroom). The reports also say that the new car may introduce the car’s kidney grille, interior upgrades, and significant exterior changes. The new car is teased to launch on September 28 and may unveil all the upcoming rumoured features for customers looking for a great electric SUV with all the modern and luxurious features.
