Mumbai, September 7: BMW has recently launched a new variant, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 220i M Performance Edition, in the Indian market today. The new limited edition variant is priced at Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the reports, the new BMW 220i M Performance is more expensive than the 220i M Sport model. It costs about 2.5 lakh and Rs 50,000 more than the 220i M Sports model.
The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 220i M Performance Edition is manufactured at the Chennai plant. The German luxury car manufacturer has only manufactured a limited number of these models. The new BMW car comes with an M-specific grille on the front, slightly adjusted LED headlamps, fog lamp, OVRMs painted Cerium Grey, door pins and door projectors. According to the reports, the new 220i M Performance Edition from BMW includes:
- A 10.25-inch screen.
- M-Performance Alcantara gear selector lever.
- Ambient lighting with dimmable designs.
The luxury car also has electronic sports seats, 2-zone automatic climate control, a large panoramic sunroof, air purifier and many other features. The vehicle comes with the same 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol motor having four cylinders that produce power up to 176 hp and peak torque of 280nm. The newly launched BMW-2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition has a 7-speed Steptronic Sports automatic transmission that helps the car achieve 0-100kmph in just 7.1 seconds. The booking for the vehicle is open, and it can be secured by paying Rs 1.5 lakh as a token amount. The 220i M Sport costs Rs 43.5 lakh, the 220i M Sports Pro costs Rs 45.5 lakh, and the new 220i M Performance costs Rs 46 lakh in India.
