BJP releases party manifesto for Himachal Pradesh assembly polls | India News

SHIMLA: BJP president JP Nadda on Sunday released the party’s manifesto for the Himachal Pradesh assembly polls. The party had formed a committee to take suggestions from the general public to draft the manifesto.
The BJP is eyeing to change the trend of alternate governments in Himachal Pradesh. Elections for the 68-member Himachal Pradesh assembly will be held on November 12.
In its manifesto, the BJP promised to implement the uniform civil code, if reelected to office. The party has said that an expert committee would be formed and based on the recommendations of this committee the uniform civil code would be implemented.
The BJP manifesto talks about 11 commitments to bring uniformity in society, youth empowerment and to give respect to government employees.
The party promised 5 more medical colleges in the state, a Rs 900 crore fund for skill development and end discrimination in remuneration of government employees.
