Bihar: 7-yr-old boy allegedly beaten to death by teacher for not doing homework

In a tragic incident, a 7-year-old boy died after he was allegedly beaten up by his school teacher in Bihar’s Saharsa district for not doing his homework, police said.

The father of the child, a resident of Bharrahi village in Madhepura district, alleged that his child was beaten up mercilessly by school director-cum-teacher as he had not done his homework.

“My son was badly beaten by the teacher who runs a residential school” the father alleged.

“As soon as I came, I found my son lying in his bed and there was no sensation in his body and I took him to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead”, the father said.

The father later lodged an FIR (first information report) at Sadar police station accusing the teacher of killing his son.

Sub inspector of police Brajesh Chouhan who reached the hospital confirmed the incident and said police had launched a manhunt to nab the accused who has been absconding since the incident.
