Sky News host Alan Jones says Bert Newton is one of the “most extraordinary people” in Australian entertainment, with the television personality currently recovering after having his leg amputated on the weekend.
Mr Newton had the surgery after having suffered an infection in his toe.
“Life takes many twists and turns,” Mr Jones said.
“Bert has navigated them to date and I am sure he will now”.
