Bengaluru, October 25: Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced scheduled power outages across multiple areas in Bengaluru between October 27 and 30. The power cuts will occur due to essential maintenance work at various substations, impacting daily life in numerous neighbourhoods.
This comes as Power Cut was reported in Bengaluru on October 24 as well. The power cut was to facilitate essential maintenance work on the electricity distribution network, specifically from the 66/11 kV Pottery Road station. Power Outages on October 27
On October 27 (Sunday), power will be disrupted between 10 AM and 5 PM in several areas around ESI Hospital Junction. This interruption is attributed to maintenance at the KPTCL 66/11 KV ‘C’ Station and Victoria Station. Residents in the following areas will experience power cuts:
- Broad Way Road, Station Road, Queens Road, Timmayya Road, Millers Road, Cunningham Road, Ali Asker Road and Cross, Chikka Bazaar Road, Park Road, Nala Road, Miller Tank Bund Road, Jasama Bhavan Road, Haines Road, Bamboobazar, Nehru Puram, and other nearby roads and neighbourhoods. - Additional areas affected include SJP Road, Avenue Road, Victoria Hospital Compound, Kalasipalyah Main Road, Nagarath Pete, Kumbara Pete Main Road, Old Slaughterhouse Road, and surrounding streets.
Extended Power Outage: October 27-30
From October 27 to 30, some areas will experience ongoing outages due to extended maintenance. These areas include:
- Obalappa Colony, R.S.S. Garden, Raipur, Binni Pete, Padarayanapura, JJR Nagar, Mysore Road Cross, Jantha Colony, Shamanna Garden, Rifat Nagar, Ranganath Colony, Anjanappa Garden, Cotton Pete, Akkipete, Sultan Pete, and several other residential and commercial locations.
Duration of Outages
During these maintenance periods, BESCOM has confirmed that power will be interrupted between 10 AM and 10 PM on each affected day. Residents are advised to prepare accordingly and be mindful of potential disruptions.
