It is time for the annual fest – Bengaluru Habba – in Karnataka’s capital and this time the state government announced that it will be held on March 25 and 26. Bengaluru Habba will showcase the culture and tradition of the city and thousands of people are expected to participate in the annual fest.

Five things to know about Bengaluru Habba
- Bengaluru Habba is all about presenting the grandeur and culture of the cosmopolitan city through the performances of artists, films and even food. Artists from across Karnataka will attend the Bengaluru Habba to showcase their talent.
2. The fest is also a tribute to Vijayanagara king Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, who played a giant role in building and developing Bengaluru.
3. The event will be held at Cubbon Park and around Vidhana Soudha where various cultural events are planned. The civic body in Bengaluru will also organize events across the city on March 25 and 26.
4. On March 25, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate Bengaluru Habba near Vidhana Soudha and union home minister Amit Shah will attend the fest on March 26.
5. Karnataka minister R Ashoka said that the Bengaluru Habba is planned at a small scale this year due to lack of time. He said, “This year, the Bengaluru Habba will be held in a simple manner. But from next year, we will celebrate it as big as the Mysuru Dasara festival.”
