Three workers in Barabanki died from asphyxiation while cleaning the diesel tank of a factory. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred at Ganpati Agribusiness Pvt. Ltd. on September 30, 2024, when the workers lost consciousness after entering a chamber filled with petrol and other hazardous materials. According to Additional Superintendent of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, the workers suffocated due to gas exposure. The factory in charge acted quickly, transporting the unconscious workers to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Deva, where they were pronounced dead.
