Wrestler-turned-politician Babita Phogat recently revealed a shocking revelation about the total amount received by her family following the Dangal’s global success. In an interview, the BJP leader revealed that her family received only O.05 % of the film’s worldwide collections.

Phogat Family Received Only INR 1 Crore From ‘Dangal’ Makers

In an interview with News24, Babita Phogat was asked about the total amount the makers paid them after collecting INR 2000 crore globally. Replying to this, Babita revealed that her family were paid around INR 1 crore for the film leaving the interviewer shocked. When asked how they felt about the injustice done to them, Babita stated that their father (Mahavir Phogat) always told them that all they needed was people’s love and recognition, which they received immediately. Everything else followed that.

What Was Aamir Khan’s Salary for ‘Dangal’?

Aamir Khan, who stars in the movie, also co-produces it with Kiran under Aamir Khan Productions and Siddharth Roy Kapur under The Walt Disney Company India. The Bollywood superstar took home a base salary of INR 35 crore. However, his real earnings came through profit sharing, through which he made somewhere around INR 375 crore!
