Thank you for “Edsel Ford II’s new role: Board retiree” (July 12). The continuous history of the automobile industry is the story of the 20th century and the changes in the 21st century as it adapts to new challenges.
No industry has made a bigger impact on America since it was founded. Imagine a world without the mobility to pursue your dream or reinvent your story. The impact that automobiles have on our lives is underappreciated.
