Atishi was sworn in as the eighth Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday, with Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena administering the oath of office. After the ceremony, a visibly emotional Atishi touched her mentor Arvind Kejriwal’s feet for blessings. Chosen as the leader of the legislature party following Kejriwal’s resignation, she expressed gratitude to him for entrusting her with the responsibility. Atishi also admitted she was personally hurt by Kejriwal’s decision to step down. In her address, she emphasized her temporary role, stating, “Don’t congratulate me; I will only hold this position until the elections.
