Ashfaqulla Khan Birth Anniversary 2024: Mallikarjun Kharge, Nitin Gadkari, Arvind Kejriwal and Other Leaders Pay Tributes To Freedom Fighter on His 124th Birth Anniversary
Today, October 22, is the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Ashfaqulla Khan. On his birth anniversary, politicians across party lines took to X (formerly Twitter) to remember India’s freedom fighter. AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal paid tributes to Ashfaqulla Khan while Mallikarjun Kharge quoted him and said, “I will go empty handed but this pain will go with me,Who knows when will India be called a free country?” Besides Kharge and Kejriwal, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and several other leaders also paid tributes to the freedom fighter on his 124th birth anniversary. Born on 22, 1900, in Shahjahanpur, Ashfaqullah Khan was a freedom fighter who was sentenced to death for the Kakori train robbery. He was a strong opponent of the British Raj in India.
