New Delhi, September 8: The new Aprilia RS 457 has made its world premiere. It was speculated for quite some time that Aprilia has been busy working on a new twin-cylinder sports bike, which has been finally introduced.

Aprilia RS 457 – Design & Features
The new RS 457 is a stunning sports bike that has been designed by the company’s Italian team with inputs from its Indian team. The motorcycle flaunts very beautifully detailed elements such as aluminium triple clamp, clip-on handlebars and a sporty riding position, which is comfortable as well. The bike will be manufactured in India at Piaggio’s plant in Baramati, Maharashtra. The bike will offer a 5.0-inch TFT display, backlit switchgear, three-level traction control among much more.
Aprilia RS 457 – Powertrain Details
Aprilia RS 457 gets powered by a 48hp, four-valve per cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine, but its actual specs hasn’t still been revealed. This motor uses a 270-degree crank to offer a sweet sound for the biking enthusiasts. The sporty motorcycle comes paired with a 6-speed transmission gearbox along with a slip-assist clutch, while a quickshifter will be offered as an add-on accessory.
The Italian bike maker has endowed the new RS 457 with an aluminium perimeter frame and preload adjustable 41mm USD suspension along with adjustable monoshock, while its braking power will come from a 320mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc brakes. The RS 457 is the first sports bike that would be clad in TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres for superb performance. Aprilia RS 457 – Expected India Launch & Price
The newly unveiled Aprilia RS 457 is expected to be unveiled in India at the upcoming Indian MotoGP later in September. Given that the Aprilia RS 457 is locally manufactured in India, it is likely to be more competitively priced than the Ninja 400, which costs Rs 5.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
