New Delhi, October 2: Amazon Prime has announced a new game show called “Buy It Now,” which is set to launch soon. The show follows a concept quite similar to the popular “Shark Tank” show, where participants will pitch their products to a panel of celebrity judges. But what makes Amazon Prime Buy It Now different? The show will allow entrepreneurs to pitch their product ideas to a panel of celebrity judges and a live audience. The show will feature a panel of celebrity judges who will evaluate the pitches made by contestants. According to a report of The Verge, one presenter per episode will have the chance to win a USD 20,000 prize if their product is chosen. The show will have a group of rotating celebrity judges, which will include Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Anderson, Tabitha Brown, Tony Hawk, and Christian Siriano. There will also be three Amazon leaders, and Jamie Siminoff, the founder of Ring and CEO of Door.com (previously Latch).
The unique part of the show is that the contestants will also be evaluated by a group of live audience called “The 100.” If the contestants’ products are chosen by this group, Amazon will feature and sell those products in a special section of their store. It will give the contestants a chance to reach more customers on the Amazon platform. Contestants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas with the audience. If the audience enjoys their pitches and votes in favour of them, the panel of judges will then choose which products will be featured in Amazon’s Buy It Now Store. According to reports, Amazon Buy It Now Store is a brand-new shopping section that will open at the same time as the show. Viewers will be able to access the store by scanning a QR code that will appear on the screen during each episode.
