All-New BMW M 1000 XR Launched in India; Check Price, Features, Delivery Details & Specifications

Expanding its M lineup, BMW Motorrad on Monday announced the launch of the M 1000 XR motorcycle in India. Priced at Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom India), the bike comes exclusively in the M Competition variant as a completely built-up unit (CBU). It can be booked at all BMW Motorrad dealerships across India from today onwards. Deliveries for the bike will commence by next month. BMW offers the new M 1000 XR Competition in an exclusive paint job – Blackstorm metallic with M Motorsport colour scheme. The M 1000 XR is the third model in the German two-wheeler brand’s M line-up after the S 1000 XR and the S 1000 RR models.  BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine M Sport Pro Edition Launched in India.

The updated M 1000 XR sports notable upgrades, which are in line with BMW’s M treatment, that include an aggressive front with new M winglets and signature-style LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs), steeper titanium rear exhaust, shorter number plate, new bar-end mirrors and more. Moreover, the M Competition Package comes with M Carbon wheels, M Carbon parts like a rear wheel cover with chain guard, side panels, front wheel cover, inner cover and ignition or steering lock cover and a fully adjustable M rider footrest system, passenger footrests and the MGPS Lap trigger.

In terms of features, the all-new BMW M 1000 XR packs an extensive list of features like a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with the M logo, a new display of the rev counter and an OBD interface for M GPS Datalogger and M GPS Laptrigger, USB socket at the rear for charging, LED lighting, heated grips, electronic cruise control, and more. The bike also gets engine brake, traction control, wheelie control, brake slide assist function, shift assistant Pro, hill start control pro, ABS and ABS Pro. It also gets five riding modes – rain, road, dynamic, race and race pro 1-3.

The all-new BMW M 1000 XR is powered by a 999cc, water-cooled, 4-cylinder in-line engine, which also powers the S 1000 RR. The engine generates a maximum power of 201 hp at 12,750 rpm with a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. The motorcycle can sprint to 100 kmph from a standstill position in 3.2 seconds before achieving the maximum speed of 278 kmph.
