Alia Bhatt To Headline Nag Ashwin’s Next?
According to a report by Mid-Day, Alia Bhatt is in talks with Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin for a female-led movie. Insiders close to the project revealed to the portal that “Ashwin has crafted a script focused on a powerful female lead – a character that demands emotional intensity and depth which is tailor-made for Alia. While the storyline remains a closely guarded secret, the narrative would tackle themes of personal resilience and empowerment in a unique, contemporary setting.”

The untitled project will reportedly be bankrolled by C Aswini Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies, which backed Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD, which starred Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt also has two more exciting films in her lineup. She will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic Love & War, which also features her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The movie, which was earlier scheduled to be released in the theatres on Christmas 2025, will now hit the big screens on March 20, 2026. She also has YRF’s Spy Universe film Alpha, where she will play an agent alongside Sharvari Wagh. The movie will be helmed by Shiv Rawail.
