Following the death of a 25-year-old Air India pilot in Mumbai, her 27-year-old boyfriend Aditya Pandit was arrested for тАШabetment of suicideтАЩ, the Powai police said on Wednesday (November 27, 2024).┬а
The deceased, identified as Srushti Tuli, originally from Uttar PradeshтАЩs Gorakhpur, was found dead in her apartment in MumbaiтАЩs Andheri East on November 25. According to the police, the deceased allegedly took the extreme step due to AdityaтАЩs harassment.┬а
After a preliminary investigation and on the complaint of the deceased family, police booked Aditya under Section 108 (abetment to suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Powai police said.┬аHe was presented in court on Tuesday (November 26, 2024), which remanded him for four days.┬а
The deceasedтАЩs uncle Vivekkumar Tuli filed a complaint on Tuesday (November 26, 2024). The family blamed Aditya for SrushtiтАЩs death in the first information report (FIR). According to the FIR, Srushti revealed her intentions to Aditya before taking the extreme step. While on his way to Delhi from Mumbai, he returned halfway back and found the door locked from inside. With the help of a keymaker, he opened the door and found her unconscious. Later, he took her to a hospital in Marol.┬а
In the FIR, it was mentioned that Aditya misbehaved with her in public on several occasions. The FIR also revealed the incident, wherein she was publicly humiliated for eating non-vegetarian food. Her family claimed that she was mentally disturbed by AdityaтАЩs toxic behaviour.┬а
