In the footage as AFP officers try to restrain the 55-year-old, an officer can be heard yelling “he’s trying to bite” as officers were forced to use a baton to restrain him.

A passenger approached the officers asking if they “need a hand”, to which they ask him to hold the man’s legs.

The court heard one of the officers needed surgery for a ruptured ligament in his thumb.

Hunter pleaded guilty over the blowup and was sentenced to six months in jail. He must serve two months behind bars.
