News Corp columnist David Penberthy says the ABC’s plan to relocate about 300 of its news staff from its inner-city headquarters to Parramatta is “long overdue”.
“So much of the sort of personality, of the organisation, like any company, emanates from head office … there is something sort of unique about the vibe there in Ultimo,” Mr Penberthy told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“It’s basically a sort of hall of mirrors that extends all the way from Glebe to Annandale to Newtown and back, and this is no way to run a national organisation.”
