Oscar-winning actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are all set to star in Adam McKayтАЩs Netflix comedy DonтАЩt Look Up, costing the makers a whopping amount of $55 million as the duoтАЩs salary.
According to Variety, being the biggest star pairing of the year, $20 million paydays are the norm for both actors, DiCaprio received a reported $30 million salary and Lawrence a reported $25 million salary for the same.
DonтАЩt Look Up is story of two low-level astronomers who are forced to travel around the U.S. to warn the population that a giant meteor is heading straight toward the planet and will destroy it. The Oscar-winning talents joined in the stars truck movie by Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Ron Perlman, Timoth├йe Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Mark Rylance, and Cate Blanchett.
According to IndieWire, DiCaprioтАЩs $30 million payday is up from the salary he earned for Quentin TarantinoтАЩs Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, for which him and Brad Pitt took pay cuts for the movie so that budget could stay reasonable and thus increase SonyтАЩs chance of making its money back.тАЭ Jennifer Lawrence continues to pull in her normal $20-million-plus salary and sheтАЩs expected to do the same with an upcoming biopic on Hollywood talent agent Sue Mengers, being directed by Paolo Sorrentino.тАЭ
Leonardo DiCaprio joins Jennifer Lawrence & Rob Morgan alongside Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timoth├йe Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley in Adam McKayтАЩs film. McKay is producing the film with Kevin Messick.
