Sky News host Peter Gleeson says the Extinction Rebellion climate change activists’ protest at Parliament House on Tuesday “does nothing for their cause” and just “shows them up to be idiots”.
On Tuesday a group of climate change activists targeted Parliament House and Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s parliamentary home in Canberra with red spray paint and flares in a bid to draw attention to a new climate report published by the United Nations on global warming.
“Protesters are entitled to do whatever they like – at the end of the day it’s a free country,” Mr Gleeson said.
“But this does nothing for their cause and shows them up to be idiots”.
