Ed Sheeran is┬аset to perform in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan in January next year, becoming the first-ever international artist that the country will play host to.
The concert scheduled for┬аJan. 24┬аat Changlimithang Stadium in the country’s capital, Thimphu, is part of the Grammy-winning British singer-songwriter’s +тАУ=├Ч├╖, also known as the Mathematics┬аtour.
Tickets, which went on sale Nov. 30, were priced as low as $10 US, with the higher tiers ranging from $31┬аand going up to $101, in line with Sheeran’s commitment to making his music accessible to fans worldwide.
However, despite affordable tickets, international visitors would have to pay Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of $100 US per person per day, which was introduced to help support the kingdom’s development and preserve its environment and culture.
The show will feature music from all of his albums since 2011, including Plus, Multiply, Divide, Equals and the latest, Subtract.
Known for his hits Perfect┬аand Shape of You, this is the artist’s fourth tour. Sheeran will be performing in Bhutan, India, China and the Middle East before moving on to Europe.
After more than three years on the road, Sheeran’s Mathematics tour is scheduled to end in Dusseldorf, Germany, in September┬а2025, after beginning in Dublin in April┬а2022.
