The vehicle may be in the prototype stage until it is unveiled to the public. Besides Elon Musk’s Tesla, other companies are working on self-driving electric vehicles for personal and public use. The names include Google’s Waymo, General Motor-backed Cruise, Baidu and Amazon-backed Zoox.
