The veteran actor, known for speaking without any filter, appeared in an interview and discussed several topics surrounding cinema. During his chat, he shared that the director of one of his web shows did not know how to shoot a sex scene.

Annu Kapoor on How He Prepared Shilpa Shinde for an Intimate Scene in ‘Paurashpur’

In a conversation with ANI, the actor recalled an incident from the filming of his 2020 historical drama series Paurashpur. Annu Kapoor shared that the director, Sachindra Vats, had no idea how to shoot a sex scene during filming. He said, “Humara director saab ko to sex ke shot hi lene nahi aate hai. Mai unko bata raha that ki aapko aise lena chaiye.” (Our director had no idea how to take a sex shot infact I was guiding him on how to go with it).

When asked if they felt shy or awkward during the process, Annu Kapoor quickly replied,”It is us who should be us (actors) who should be feeling uncomfortable”. He continued, “Maine jin jin ladkiya ko saath raise intimate scene kiye hai, ek to mai mazak nahi karta. Maine unko bohot help kiya, ki is tarah see aapko karna hai. (With every actor I’ve worked with on such scenes, I’ve made sure to guide them on performing the scenes properly). Recalling a similar incident with Shilpa Shinde, Annu Kapoor first showered her with praise, calling her a very talented actress.

He said that when Annu approached Shinde to tell her about the scene, the Bigg Boss 11 winner burst out laughing and said, “Annu ji, Abhi abhi maine aloo bonda khaya.” Annu Kapoor revealed that he did not laugh at her reply and instructed one of the staff members to give her cardamom and water and asked her to freshen up. Concluding the discussion on this topic, the veteran actor expressed that the depiction of sex in movies should be a separate topic to discuss.
