The 2024 edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards, popularly known as the IIFA Awards, were held at Abu Dhabi in the UAE from September 27–29. The three-day event comprised the IIFA Utsavam 2024 (celebrating South Indian film industries), the IIFA Awards 2024 (celebrating Bollywood and Hindi cinema) and IIFA Rocks 2024 (celebrating Bollywood Music and the IIFA Technical Awards 2024). Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was back to hosting IIFA this year, and went on to win the Best Actor (Male) award for Jawan (2023).
Vicky Kaushal also returned to IIFA this year after his 2023 stint, and complemented SRK’s hosting on stage. Filmmaker Karan Johar, an ace at hosting, was the third main host at the IIFA Awards 2024, where Rani Mukerji won the Best Actor (Female) award for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway (2023). IIFA and ZEE announced on Instagram that the IIFA Awards 2024 will be telecast on ZEE TV on Sunday, November 10, 2024. The time for the telecast of IIFA Awards 2024 is 8 PM. There may be repeat telecasts later. IIFA Awards 2024 on ZEE TV on November 10
The IIFA Awards 2024 was the third year in a row that the awards weekend was held at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Bollywood celebrities, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was present at the IIFA Awards this year. The actress was honoured with the IIFA Utsavam 2024 Best Actor (Female) award for Ponniyin Selvan-II in the presence of filmmaker and mentor Mani Ratnam, who has directed the film. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy toplined the performances at music fest IIFA Rocks 2024, among other music artistes of repute like Shilpa Rao, Karan Aujla and Honey Singh.
