New Delhi, October 11: Tesla’s We, Robot event took place today, which showcased new developments from the company. Elon Musk unveiled the highly anticipated Robotaxi, the Tesla Cybercab, a fully autonomous vehicle for the future. Apart from Tesla Cybercab, Elon Musk surprised everyone with the introduction of Tesla Robovan to enhance the company’s ride-hailing services.
As per reports, Elon Musk showed off a prototype of a self-driving car, what he called as “Cybercab.” Tesla CEO Elon Musk also surprised attendees of the “We, Robot” event by presenting a new, unexpected vehicle, a passenger van. The Tesla Robovan is intended for an autonomous ride-hailing service. Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, introduced new electric vehicles with a Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver-assist feature. Tesla Cybercab Robotaxi
The interior of the Tesla Cybercab comes clean with no steering wheels and pedals. The Robotaxi is built for autonomous driving. The vehicle will require approval from regulatory authorities before it can be manufactured and sold because of its unique features. Additionally, there is no charging plug, instead, Elon Musk mentioned that the vehicle will use inductive charging.
As per reports, Tesla has the vision to start fully self-driving cars in Texas and California next year, and they plan to produce the Cybercab Robotaxi by 2026, although Elon Musk noted it might be delayed until 2027. He has reportedly mentioned that self-driving cars are likely to be 10 to 20 times safer than cars driven by Humans. The cost of using these cars could be around USD 0.20 for each mile. Tesla Robovan
Tesla CEO Elon Musk surprised people at the “We, Robot” event by introducing a new vehicle: a passenger van. He mentioned that this Tesla Robovan can hold up to 20 people or can be used for transporting goods. The Robovan is said to be designed for Tesla’s Network, which is a self-driving ride-hailing service, as well as for Tesla owners’ personal vehicles.
