Mumbai, October 3: The Chennai-headquartered Royal Enfield has issued a recall for all motorcycles manufactured between November 2022 and March 2023. The brandтАЩs entire product portfolio тАУ from the Hunter 350 to the Continental GT 650, is being recalled over faulty reflectors. The legendary two-wheeler manufacturer has decided to address a potential issue with rear and side reflectors, identified during routine testing. The company said some motorcycles may not meet the required reflective performance standards.
This potential issue could make reflectors fail to reflect light as effectively as required and the issue could reduce road safety during low-light conditions. Now, the brand says that the problem was identified on select motorcycles, but has gone forward recalling all RE bikes manufactured during the said period to rectify the issue with the affected ones.┬аIndian 2-Wheeler Industry Records 22% Growth in September 2024.

The company said in the statement issued in BSE regulatory filing┬а that this is a precautionary measure to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained, even though the problem has not been widely reported. Addressing the concern, Royal Enfield will replace the reflectors for all customers across global markets without any additional charge.

According to RE, the replacement process will be quick and efficient which could take up to 15 minutes per bike. ItтАЩs worth noting that REтАЩs service team will directly contact customers of the affected bikes to address the issue by replacing the reflectors at their nearest service centre.
