Times of India: “What the film does exceptionally well is creating a sense of confinement and emotional weight through its minimalist setting. The majority of the film takes place inside their father’s apartment, where the sisters navigate both physical and emotional space. Azazel Jacob uses the apartment as a canvas to reflect the suffocating tension of the situation, a place that is both a home and a prison of unresolved emotions.”

Independent: “His Three Daughters is the kind of family drama you spend waiting, nervously, for the unspoken sentence between its characters to finally explode onto the scene. All three women live in roles they’re not particularly invested in playing, yet they’re played by actors who have breathed all their body and soul into them.”

Times Now: “While we would not go to the extent of calling this movie a tear-jerker, this dark comedy has its share of emotional moments. Clever direction and good performances add to the intimately claustrophobic dynamics between the characters.”

Money Control: “Jacobs too smart and attuned to how humans are to give anyone a simple, straightforward explanation. Everyone is making assumptions about others — many of them are wrong, or, at the very least misguided.”

Sports Keeda: “Jacobs has masterfully allowed his characters to reveal themselves piece by piece through natural dialogue and let viewers into the insides of their lives. For example, it is shown that Katie is always at war with her teenage child. At the same time, Christina has her own issues with her family, and Rachel has been taking full responsibility for their father before the other two arrive. This has also given room for three talented actors to show their skill as they bring each character and their nuances to life.”

Currently streaming on Netflix, His Three Daughters also features also stars Jay O Sanders, Jovan Adepo, Jose Febus, Jasmine Bracey and Rudy Galvan.
