Mumbai, September 17: Homegrown automaker Tata Motors has officially announced the launch of the updated version of the Punch in India. The 2024 iteration of the micro-SUV sees a rejig in the variant line-up, which now comes in 10 variants with sunroof and new premium features. The 2024 Tata Punch SUV is priced in India from INR 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The automaker says the Punch is amongst the most sought-after SUVs in the Indian car market and became the fastest SUV to clock a 4 lakh sales milestone last month.
The Tata Punch now comes in 10 trims – Pure, Pure (O), Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Adventure S, Adventure+ S, Accomplished+, Accomplished+ S, Creative+, and Creative+ S. The carmaker has revamped the Punch line-up by introducing new variants under the Accomplished and Creative personas. The latest version of the Punch gets several new feature additions like a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, a grand console with armrest and rear AC vents and a USB Type-C charging port.

Apart from the new feature inclusion, there are no mechanical changes on the updated Punch SUV. It continues to draw power from the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which is paired either to a 5-speed or a 5-speed AMT. The unit produces 87 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm @ 3,150-3,350 rpm. The 2024 Tata Punch SUV continues to competes with the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3 in the Indian market. The 2024 Punch price starts from INR 6.12 lakh for the base Pure variant and goes up to INR 9.45 lakh for the top-end Creative+ S variant (all prices ex-showroom).
