MG Windsor EV Launch Tomorrow in India; Check Specifications, Features and Price Range

New Delhi, September 10: MG is set to launch its new electric vehicle in India, the MG Windsor EV, on September 11, 2024 (tomorrow). The UK-based automobile marquee will launch this new electric vehicle in the Indian market. Called the rebranded version of the Wuling Cloud EV, the upcoming MG Windsor will be its third electric car in the country. The price of the EV is expected to be around INR 20 lakh. 

The new Windsor EV from Morris Garages India is set to be introduced as an electric CUV (crossover utility vehicle) with a spacious “aeroglide” design and similar range to other models in the price segment, such as Tata Nexon and Tata Curvv EVs. The British automobile company already launched its popular MG Comet EV, available at a starting price of INR 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and MG ZS EV at INR 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the Windsor EV is expected to be around INR 20 lakh. The electric vehicle is expected to rival two major players in the market, including the Tata Nexon EV top model and the Mahindra XUV400 EV model, which are around the same price range. 

Amid these, the Chinese automobile giant BYD Auto also announced that it will soon launch its new BYD eMax 7 in India. This will likely be an updated version of its MPV BYD e6. 

MG Windsor EV Specifications and Features 

MG Windsor EV will likely come in two battery options – 38kWh and 50kWh. Based on the battery, the car will offer around 360 km and 450 km on a single charge, respectively. Windsor EV may generate up to 134hp power and 200Nm torque at max. Also, the car may offer various traction models for handling. The electric car will also offer comfort to the driver and passenger with its reclining seats and sleek cabin design. It also gets all the other features like a larger panoramic sunroof for a wide view and light, 15.6-inch large touchscreen infotainment in the cabin, 8.8-inch digital driver display, climate control, phone charger, ambient lighting, and many other comfort features. In terms of safety, the MG Windsor will offer six airbags, 360-degree cameras, and Level 2 ADAS.
