Here are the differences between the two countries’ lifestyles:

1. Regarding the availability of domestic help, The IITian wrote that it’s easier in India than in the US. They had to work extra hours to do household chores.

2. On the traffic situation, he criticised India for having a “more irritating” condition with unpredictable driving practices, unlike the US which is a little better comparatively.

3. Nayrhit praised India for its advanced level of digital convenience- from quick essentials delivered within minutes, unlike in the US.

4. Due to cultural differences, The IITian mentioned that it is easier for him to make new connections in India than in the US.

5. Nayrhit scored India as a winner in handling digital payments and praised government infrastructure like UPI.

6. However, Nayrhit mentioned that he missed the orderly queues in the US, unlike the chaotic and inconvenient ones in India. He added that one gets used to the Indian system soon.

7. Being a foodie, Nayrhit said it was a relief to finally return to India’s Dosas and Biryanis from the usual PB&J and Burgers in the US.

8. The IITian gave a point to the US if one was an “outdoorsy person” for the ease of convenience it has over India when it came to hiking and biking.

9. Nayrhit criticised India’s rather judgemental attitude toward the queer communities and the lack of its acceptance as a norm. He has hopes it will change fast in the coming years.

10. Claiming that the job market is tough on both sides, Nayrhit said that one has to cut back on their lifestyle in India unless one secures a high-paying gig.

Although the couple has to keep shuffling between the two countries due to their varied customer base, they intend to keep dedicating the coming years of their lives to researching technologies in India. They are also excited to be working from their Bengaluru office as after post-Covid, the work culture took a partial shift to working from home.
