According to reports, attendees were treated to the first 40 minutes of the movie, which included some major spoilers.

Possible Leaked SPOILERS for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
Apparently, Deadpool & Wolverine has a ‘violent connection’ to *Logan* (2017), the last film featuring Jackman’s Wolverine. The film also features other variants of Wolverine, including a zombie version. The footage showed some major cameos, including (gasp!) the Hulk. It is also revealed that the trailers released so far feature scenes from the first 40 minutes shown at the Shanghai screening. Lady Deadpool is also glimpsed, though she keeps her mask on, and people are speculating that she is voiced by Reynolds’ real-life spouse, Blake Lively. As expected, there are plenty of jokes about Marvel and Fox, alongside some intense drama.

The consensus of the leaks is that Deadpool & Wolverine is aiming for a spectacle equivalent to the Avengers films, but with the irreverence typically associated with the Deadpool movies. While these leaks are definitely exciting, one wonders what Marvel’s strategy is in screening such a significant portion of the movie just a few weeks before its release, especially in an era where spoilers cannot be contained. Or is Ryan Reynolds and Company trying to troll us by showing footage that may not even be in the final film?
