Rachel Homan and her Ottawa-based team of Tracy Fleury, Emma Miskew and Sarah Wilkes captured gold at the women’s curling world championship on Sunday in Sydney, N.S.

Homan’s rink delivered Canada’s first curling world title┬аsince 2018 with a 7-5┬аwin over four-time defending champion Silvana Tirinzoni of Switzerland.

Homan, a four-time Scotties champion,┬аalso won the title with Miskew in 2017.
