At the Hindi kavi sammelan—Kavya Yatra—held in Vimannagar recently, poets regaled the crowd with varied presentations. Through the three-hour show, the crowd was in splits as the poets cast their magical spell.
Kavya Yatra was organised by Prayaas to create awareness and to raise funds for Prutha Foundation founded by Meenakshi Bhalerao. Prayaas is an initiative by Nishant Somani, which works to support causes of NGOs with the help of independent volunteers, stated a press release. Anand Agarwal was the chief guest on the occasion.
“We received a very good response to the Hindi kavi sammelan here. It goes to show the love that people of Pune have for Hindi. We will hold more such events here,” said Somani.
Among those who performed were Himanshu Bawander, finalist of The Laughter Challenge 2022 who also stole the show, poet Jagdish Solanki and poetess Komal Jain.
