NEW DELHI: The trends in Karnataka show the Congress making strong gains in the state. The grand old party has consolidated its lead over the BJP and has stayed over the half way mark in trends as the counting of votes has progressed.
While the larger picture shows it is advantage Congress, the final numbers for the three key stakeholders will be decided by around 15 seats where there has been a very close contest.
Of these, the Congress is ahead in 6, the BJP and the JD(S) in 3 each and the independents in 3.
These are the seats that will decide the final tally of the stakeholders. The party position is at 12.30pm.
