Indian Cricketer Kedar Jadhav’s father has gone missing in Pune, the police said after the sportsman filed a missing report at Alankar Police Station on Monday.
The police have launched a search for 75-year-old Mahadev Sopan Jadhav. According to the missing report, Kedar and Mahadev Jadhav are residents of the Kothrud area in Pune city. Mahadev left home on Monday without informing anyone in the family and did not return. Family members also could not trace him.
After receiving the information, a team from Alankar police station registered the missing report. The report, carrying Mahadev’s photograph, was then sent to other police stations in Pune for carrying out searches.
According to the description in the missing report, Mahadev Jadhav is 5 feet 6 inches tall, has a surgery mark on the left side of his face and was wearing a white shirt, a grey trouser, black chappals and socks and glasses. It is stated that he speaks Marathi and there are two gold rings in his right hand’s fingers. He was, however, not carrying a cell phone.
A senior police officer confirmed that a team, headed by senior police inspector Rajendra Sahane, has launched a search. Anybody having any information about Mahadev Jadhav should contact the Pune city police, the officer appealed.
