Bengaluru: Law student booked for filming ‘obscene’ videos of girls in toilets | Bengaluru

A college student from Bengaluru has been booked for allegedly peeping into girls’ toilets and recording ‘obscene’ videos of them. The student pursuing law at a private university in the city’s Hoskerehalli area has been identified as 21-year-old Shubham M Azad by reports.

Police have registered an FIR against Shubham based on a complaint by his university, and seized his laptop, mobile, and iPad, DCP South P Krishnakant told news agency ANI. He will be charged under the Information Technology Act for sexual harassment.

The accused allegedly made a habit of peeping into the girls’ toilet. He would record and circulate private videos of female students. Shubham was caught in the act once before, but was let off with a warning after he wrote an apology letter. However, he repeated the act once again, and was caught by students in the toilet, after which his university decided to file a complaint.

The Times of India reported that Shubham was addicted to watching porn videos that were shot in toilets and his laptop and phone were full of them. Police are probing the case and further details are underway.
