NEW DELHI: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs on Wednesday alleged that attempts were being made to “lure” them to change parties.
Earlier today, Cyberabad Police conducted raids at a farmhouse in Ranga Reddy and detained three people. Cyberabad Police said that the four TRS legislators provided information to them that the trio were trying to entice them with several offers.
“We received information from TRS MLAs that they were being lured, by money, contracts, and posts. We raided the farmhouse and noticed three persons. We will initiate legal action and carry investigation into the luring matter,” Cyberabad Police commissioner Stephen Ravindra told reporters.
The four TRS MLAs who were allegedly offered money to switch parties are G Balaraju, B Harshavardhan Reddy, R Kantha Rao and Rohith Reddy.
The police, however, did not give details as to which party allegedly “lured” the MLAs.
Meanwhile, government whip Balka Suman has alleged that it is the handiwork of the BJP which is trying to lure TRS legislators.
“TRS party MLAs are soldiers of KCR and representatives of Telangana’s self-respect has been proved once again,” he said on Twitter.
